What to expect from a design visit
Try out lots of options
‘At Hammonds, we create designs on the computer in front of you, rather than drawing the plan on paper as some firms do. That means you can try out lots of different ideas until you feel totally confident in your decision. We’ll even take a photo of your wallpaper and carpet and upload them to the 3D plan, so you can really imagine how different your room could be.
Prepare to be surprised
'A designer can show you solutions you didn’t know were possible,’ says Tom. ‘For example, you might have a sloping ceiling and think hanging space isn’t an option for you, but we can design cupboards that include a low hanging rail with shelves above for folded clothes or bedding.

Having a well organised home is just one less thing to worry about.
A key consideration was storage space as Jennifer explained: “Because Daye is an energetic four-year old, he loves playing with his toys and he has lots of them!
“When I had my offer accepted on the house I started to think about where it might be good to add in storage, so for instance the alcoves in Victorian houses are the perfect places to introduce storage solutions that are in keeping with the room aesthetic.
Initially, she had heard about Hammonds through word of mouth but thought that it would be too expensive as she needed a lot of fitted furniture, in her lounge, kitchen, master bedroom and Daye’s room. However, once she had seen the many different looks that were available in the Hammonds range and got an idea of the price points, she was really surprised by how economical they turned out to be.

Excellent service from start to finish
My experience with Hammonds has been excellent, and I’ll definitely use them again. The contractors they use for design and fitting are really excellent; especially in understanding what you are trying to achieve, coming up with suggestions, and helping to head off / avoid problems. Each stage of the process was excellent, but no doubt it’s the quality of the fitting that really makes it work.

Excellent all round service
Excellent all round service! Our visit to the showroom in Sheffield sealed our decision to go with Hammonds rather than the other large bedroom fitting companies as the quality was clearly better and the sales staff were helpful and informative without being at all pushy. Design and survey process was straightforward with designers happy to accommodate my many questions and tweaks. The fitting service from Chris Knight was outstanding. He was friendly, professional, quick and very, very tidy! All fitting was carried out to a very high standard and we were given tips on how to make any adjustments we may need after having our carpet fitted. Couldn't recommend Hammonds more!

Friendly staff both on the phone and in person
Friendly staff both on the phone and in person. Really helpful designer who made sure that everything I wanted was in the plan. The surveyor made a few tweaks, which actually saved me a bit, and the builder of the cupboards was efficient and tidy and just got on with the job.

From our first meeting in the showroom we knew we were in safe hands
From the first chat with a charming lady in the showroom, polite and caring telephone conversations and to visit by a knwledgeable planner/designer - all was handled very professionally. Fitting date was agreed and all went smoothly. Having used Hammonds to supply and fit bedroom and office furniture in our previous home, we were confident that we wre dealing with a great team. We are delighted with the quality of the product and totally satisfied with every member of staff involved.
