It would have been perfect but……….

I would have easily given my wardrobe order and installation five stars. But. From the initial design visit, surveying of the work to the actual installation this order has been first class. The design process is great and the customers needs are very easily achieved. Paying the deposit and subsequent payments is handled online with your own personal account. Very straightforward. The communication is great throughout the order process you are in the picture every step of the way. Then you’ll have a visit from the surveyor who double checks the measurements, price and overall order then the go ahead to install is given to Hammonds. You receive a date for fitting then prior to that day all of the materials are delivered to your property. Absolutely seamless. On the actual day of the installation you just leave everything to the fitter. All of your area is covered and the wardrobes are fitted. We had an absolute brilliant fitter. His work and tidiness were outstanding. At this point in the order things started to unravel for us. Up to and including the actual installation Hammonds provided a perfect customer service experience; faultless. At this point tho Hammonds have a third party company involvement. The purpose of this company is to remove all the materials used on the job like off cuts of wood, trim, wardrobe railings, cardboard, plastic etc These materials are placed outside of your property awaiting collection. In our case by the side of our driveway. Unfortunately this week we had a severe storm warning and the outside materials became a hazard to me and my wife. As the materials would not be collected for three days, the materials were very unsightly and a danger as we had been warned about loose debris around the property, by the Met Office (locally). It meant, I the customer, had to secure the materials. I thought this element of the order showed no initiative in customer service i.e. collect the materials as a matter of urgency. I did contact Hammonds regarding my concerns, re the weather, the following day from the fitting but I received no reply. On the third day I was left no choice but to bring it to the attention of the Executive Team. Once they were involved the materials were sorted. It was such a concern having the materials outside in the open and quite frankly this third party involvement really let down the excellent customer service given to us by Hammonds. I think these external companies need to understand the level of customer support they need to achieve with such prestigious companies such as Hammonds. At the end of the day my wife and I are delighted with our new wardrobes it’s just a pity the five stars weren’t achieved on this occasion. The Hammonds Customer Team need to grip the process at the end of an installation as I don’t consider the work to be complete until every element of the job has been sorted. This in turn impacts on the final timely payment of our order, which has now been paid. Hopefully Hammonds will learn a lesson from this order in that it needs to be followed through to the materials collected at the end.

Bookshelf fitting

From starting the planning process to the finished product we have been very impressed with Hammonds service. The process was managed well and we were given appropriate information at all times. Our job was completed very efficiently and we are very pleased with the end result. Patrick, our fitter, was polite, friendly and kept us informed of progress and worked hard to create our desired finish. I would totally recommend Hammonds in the future.

Five Star Service

We arranged a meeting at the Hammonds Wardrobes concession in Glasswells, Bury St Edmunds to check out the various styles and layouts possible for our new build. Lynne and Chris were so friendly and welcoming. Lynne was very knowledgeable of the ranges and guided us through the wonderful array of designs, colours and finishes in the showroom for our new fitted wardrobes, while Chris created the design layouts, even though the spec we supplied was a bit tricky, he found the perfect solution! The service was excellent, very efficient and we would thoroughly recommend. We are really looking forward to having our new wardrobes installed soon.

Everything ran so smoothly

Everything ran so smoothly. The fitter (Bogdan) was really good. Arrived on time was polite and considerate and so neat and tidy. It was a pleasure to have him in the house. The wardrobes went up easily S Hammonds had done technical checking before making them. Very pleased.

Really love our new dressing room…

Really love our new dressing room wardrobes, beautiful colour and style. Our fitter Ryan was excellent, his thorough attention to detail and making sure we were happy throughout the process. We chose Willesley in Cashmere with dark gold handles.

The date was set for 14th January to…

The date was set for 14th January to install, however never turned up. Tried to contact jack as he was too over see line went dead. However if it was not for the office staff especially Rebecca i don't think I would of got the result we have got Sam Dixon was brilliant he installed the unit's and also mark who brought the unit's to us. It was jack never contacted me was the problem.
