The Design

“As soon as Laura explained what she wanted her new bedroom to look like, I knew that Vigo would be the perfect range for her” lead Hammonds designer Michael said. “By choosing a pale wood finish, such as the light oak and vanilla gloss finish, we could make sure the room felt more spacious and light. Space is one of the biggest issues we faced when creating the room, but we maximised storage by including a sliding wardrobe into the walkway of the room that had plenty of shelving and extra shoe racks to cater for Laura’s extensive collection”. 

The curved doors on our Vigo range meant that precious floor space didn’t need to be sacrificed and the minimalist style gave the bedroom the contemporary style that Laura sought. A chest of drawers, matching bedside tables and full length mirror completed the room and the padded headboard added a much needed pop of colour to the neutral room. A flat screen television and stylish spotlights were built into the alcove to ensure it became a focal point. 

To give the bedroom a timeless feel, our designer recommended cool champagne wallpaper to be teamed with a darker statement wall. A striped carpet was chosen to add some vibrancy and soft furnishings and trinkets such as photo frames added a personal touch.
