Why did you choose Hammonds?

I chose Hammonds because of their reputation for quality and bespoke fitted furniture. I loved that they could create something tailored exactly to our bedrooms and had the craftsmanship to tackle and awkward loft room with sloping ceiling, while offering a personal design service from start to finish.

What was the space like before you had the transformation?

Jack's room before felt cluttered and underused. I didn't have enough storage, and everything felt a bit mismatched. It never really worked as well as I wanted it to. The wardrobes in Isabella's room didn't give us enough space. We'd tried to make do with DIY wardrobes, but because we didn't want to block the bay window, the layout never really worked. The bay window was crying out for something special, and Hammonds created exactly that, a gorgeous window seat with hidden storage, framed by sleek fitted wardrobes. The clever, streamlined designs gives us so much more storage than before while keeping the bay window open and maximising every inch of space. 

The loft room had become a bit of a wasted space. We had some unfinished DIY wardrobes with no real structure, so the room felt completely underused and unoccupied. Now, it's been transformed with full blocks of fitted wardrobe space, exactly what we needed since the kids have taken over the spare rooms. It finally feels like a practical, organised part of the house. 

How would you describe your interior style?

I'd describe my style as modern yet timeless, with a focus on clean lines and calming colours. I like everything to feel warm and welcoming, but still organised and functional especially with younger children in the house. 

Is organisation important to you? If so, why?

Yes, I find that when my space is organised, it helps me feel calmer and more productive. Having a place for everything makes day-today life so much easier. 

What is the best thing about your new space?

The best thing is how much more functional and beautiful it is. It feels like the rooms have completely changed, not just in how it looks, but in how we use them every single day.

How has your furniture had a positive impact on your life?

It's made a huge difference. I finally have the storage I need, which keeps my home tidy and stress-free. The home now feels future-proofed for the kids and the loft room is now like a mini hotel suite but with plenty of overflow storage. It's also lovely to have spaces that reflect our style and make us enjoy spending time in them.
