Why did you choose Hammonds?

"We researched many fitted wardrobe brands as we wanted an investment piece that would last the test of time and look as current now as it would do in years to come. We found Hammonds to have the best range of choice and the willingness to create a more bespoke look suitable to our needs and wants compared to other brands. However, what really sold Hammonds to us was that my parents have had a Hammonds built- in wardrobe and dressing table area in their bedroom for over 30 years and they haven't had a single fault with it."

 

What was the space like before you had the transformation?

"Prior to the furniture being fitted we had large ill fitting wardrobes and drawers in the room. They were too big for the space and were not functional. We didn't feel the need to change the layout as the layout worked but the space was a large space but lacked functionality. The wardrobes were doors with no fittings inside and the drawers were in the middle of the room as an 'island' but there was no dressing table area to get ready despite their being the space."

 

How would you describe your interior style?

"Our style is minimalistic with Japandi inspired elements. We love sleek handleless finishes, muted natural tones and wooden elements. "

 

Is organisation important to you? If so, why?

"I love a tidy and clean home so being organised is a priority for us. Having a wardrobe with plenty of space that we could personalise to our needs was perfect. We have a 'his and hers' side and my Husband has a different hanging - shelving ratio compared to my side. "

 

What is the best thing about your new space?

"Having a piece of furniture that is both functional and aesthetic is great. The ease of being able to organise our clothes and accessories and having the space and layout to do so. We love the quality and finish of the furniture and as it's built on site it fits perfectly to the space. We added lights to our wardrobe and mirrors to the inside of the doors which has elevated the space even more. "

 

How has your furniture had a positive impact on your life?

"I have switched from walking into our bedroom and hating the space I see to being happy with the furniture we have. By creating the perfect wardrobe and draw/dressing table area we have created a space that works perfectly for our needs and reduces the frustration of disorganised and poorly fitted wardrobes. I never quite realised how much having the right furniture that matches your style and needs could make you feel! "
