Why did you choose Hammonds?

"I originally reached out to Hammonds on the recommendation of a family member who had just had them do their fitted wardrobes. After seeing the quality and finish of theirs I booked in for my free at home survey straight away! Compared to other surveys I had also had, I found Hammonds to be the most professional, friendly and competitive without compromising on the quality."

 

What was your space like before your room transformation?

"Originally our Edwardian house was an auction listing with lots of renovation word needed. We spend the first year or two essentially living in a dust cloud, taking the rooms back to brick as well as re-wiring and plastering. We left this room as a bright white blank canvas so I could get my content filming done but I had always wanted to double up this room to have wardrobe storage for all my clothes and shoes too." 

 

How would you describe your interior style?

"I always think it's nice to work with the age of your property and as ours was built in the 1890's I loved adding traditional elements in keeping with the original build, like the high skirting boards, coving and panelling. The Cliveden range for me was the perfect fit with the traditional inlaid beading, shaker style doors and aged hardware."

 

Why is organisation important to you?

"A tidy space is a tidy mind and for me that couldn't be more true. Especially as I work from home, I need my spaces to be clear of clutter in order for my brain to feel clutter-free too. I've always loved organising and when everything has a home it makes me feel happy and content. We worked with the shallower depth where there was a chimney breast to have lots of shelving, perfect for keeping all my shoes, bags and accessories organised."

 

What is the best thing about your new space?

"The built in bespoke wardrobe feels like it's always been there as a part of the build. Beforehand my storage was not efficient, it didn't look like it belonged and I was never happy with the overall look. Now I have the ideal space to shoot my content with the wardrobes as a clean minimal background, not to mention the vast amount of new storage space they have given me!"
