Role Overview:

Hammonds Fitted Furniture Company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Stores Manager to lead our team in managing the efficient flow of materials and components to support our production processes. This role is ideal for candidates with proven experience in a Stores or Warehouse facility within a manufacturing environment, involving day-to-day responsibilities such as Goods In, Inventory control, and Picking and Packing orders. This position is crucial for maintaining our high standards of quality and timely delivery to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop the Stores team to consistently meet Right First Time (RFT) targets.
• Achieve or exceed all statistical, productivity, labour, and performance budgets.
• Ensure stock is accurately maintained by location, quantity, and value.
• Coordinate with multiple departments to meet material and product requirements.
• Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently, meeting delivery timelines and brand standards.
• Design, implement, and refine systems and processes to improve the efficiency and quality of picking and packing operations.
• Regularly report on Stores performance, picking accuracy, and Inventory levels.
• Be accountable for stock variance and drive improvements to minimize impacts on supply, operations, customer services, and financial metrics.
• Ensure goods receipt, warehousing, and distribution activities are efficient and on budget, minimizing inventory costs without affecting business operations.
• Involvement with Health and Safety, including inspections and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with safety and efficiency protocols for Stores/Warehouse activities, in line with ISO9001:2015 (QMS) and ISO45001:2018 (SMS) standards.

How You Will Succeed:

• Deliver excellent internal and external customer service, resolving problems to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Leverage a proven track record in Supply Chain and stores management to meet tight deadlines and targets in a fast-paced role.
• Communicate confidently and clearly at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate leadership, motivating and developing staff while maintaining strong relationships.
• Promote and maintain compliance with Health and Safety regulations and uphold them as a priority in operations.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, utilizing LEAN processes to enhance operations.
• Maintain accurate data management through strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365.
• Effectively manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and adapt to changing priorities with a proactive approach to resolving operational issues.
• Build and maintain a collaborative, productive working relationship among the Stores team, ensuring goals are met.
