Quality Engineer

Role Overview:

As a Quality Engineer at Hammonds, you'll be essential to upholding the highest quality standards across our products, processes, and systems. In this role, you’ll develop, implement, and maintain quality methodologies to ensure reliable, consistent output. You'll play a pivotal role in identifying areas for improvement and leading initiatives that enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

· Documentation & Compliance: Prepare, control, and publish management system documentation, including manuals, policies, procedures, and work instructions.

· Inspection & Calibration: Oversee inspection equipment calibration, management system audits, and defective material reports.

· Supplier Collaboration: Support the purchasing function with supplier quality risk assessments, first-off inspections, and quality performance metrics.

· Quality Analysis & Improvement: Drive product and process improvements by conducting root cause analysis, utilising statistical controls, and implementing preventive measures to ensure top-tier quality.

· Attention to Detail: Your meticulous approach to examining data and processes ensures that our products meet exact specifications.

· Problem-Solving Expertise: Use creative solutions and root cause analysis to address and resolve quality challenges.

· Data-Driven Decisions: Your ability to analyse complex data helps in making informed improvements that boost quality and reduce costs.

· Team Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers, the purchasing team, and production to meet and exceed quality standards.
