Weekly web inspiration
As home decor, decoration and furniture enthusiasts we are often using our favourite bloggers, websites or platforms for inspiration to spark our own creativity and fuel our passion. We felt that some of these articles were too good to keep to ourselves, from the capturing images to the thought-provoking content, explore our top loved posts from this week.
House Beautiful
At the height of this beautiful summer, we're mad about botanicals, a theme which resonates throughout our summer magazine. House Beautiful's article, '7 ways to decorate with leafy prints and bold botanical patterns at home' was an article we loved and really sparked our own creativity of botanicals within the home.
Life In a Breakdown
From a botanical statement within the home to a summery outfit, we loved Life in a breakdown's 'summer outfit idea', a collaboration of brands fashion to create an outfit great for a day walking along the promenade, attending a barbeque or relaxing at a festival. Knowing the typical British weather, occasionally we can have a drop of rain (or two), so a flip-flop is not always suitable.
Robyn Mayday
We loved Robynmayday's blog on '4 reasons I'm loving bold boots' as we really related to being a little cowardly and buying the go-to black and brown ankle boot because it goes with so much. But, she had the courage to break to mold and try some bold and bright boots that add a little summertime brightness to outfit. A recommended read to get out of your shoe shopping habits and be a little more daring.
Abigail Ahern
Speaking of bold and daring, this brings me of course onto Abigail Ahern. Abigail Ahern's 'Decorating with Style' was our book club read for June, and her style is always one to watch out for, if you haven't heard or seen her work before, I'd suggest giving her 'Interior design secrets' article a read. With summer in full swing, it is often the case where our weekends are full of friends and family wanting to spend time enjoying the outdoors together, which is brilliant.
The Friday Girl
However, finding a weekend where you have no plans at all is rare, so if you do, here are the '7 things to do with your free weekend' as told by thefridaygirl. From a good organisation of your clothes to an exploration of your hometown, a bit of 'me time' is often just the ticket for a weekend with no plans.
Hammonds Moments Magazine
Lastly, we would like to finish with a thought-provoking article which we found so interesting about 'The oldest living thing on earth'. An article which helped stem the creative juices for our 'At one with nature' article within our summer magazine. Discover the oldest trees on earth, but before you do, take a quick guess at how old the oldest one will be and see if you are anywhere near the answer!
