To celebrate Halloween this year, we’ve got three of the spookiest home organisation stories to share with you. If you’re feeling brave, read on…
Our first spooky story begins on a late evening, when you’re tired and ready to snuggle up in fresh bedsheets. You’ve been dreaming of this cosy night in all day… and after fighting with your duvet to get the cover off, you reach in the wardrobe to grab the folded bedsheet, duvet, and pillows… but you’re confronted with a crumpled mess of sheets! And the pillowcases? Well, they’re nowhere to be found.
Keep pillowcases from going walkabout by trialling our spell for easy bedsheet changing:
- When folding your bedsheets to go into the cupboard, start with a bottom sheet first.
- Lay your duvet out over this bottom sheet, followed by your pillowcases.
- Pull the corners of the bottom sheet in and over the pillowcases, creating a folded stack of bedsheets encompassed by one bottom sheet.
- This means you’ll be able to quickly grab a stack whenever you’re changing sheets in the future, which has everything you need to change your bed.
- You’ll never be stuck looking for pillowcases again!
One of our scariest stories is retelling the tale of loose shoes piled up in the wardrobe. It’s what nightmares are made from! When shoes are stored on top of one another this way, they can crumple—leading to deep creases and damage to your footwear. Avoid this with a simple built-in rack, where shoes can be positioned neatly next to one another. This also makes getting ready for the day or night a complete dream, as you’ll be able to see your shoes immediately.
The final spooky story for Halloween is the tale of being in a rush to leave the house… but discovering minutes before you need to leave that your jewellery is all tangled up! Do you leave it behind, attempt to detangle, or… simply pull and hope for the best? Drawer dividers are a lifesaver for keeping jewellery from colliding and tangling. Keep loose chains away from one another in separate sections, with chunkier items like bracelets and rings in their own section.
