Coastal Interior Moodboard:
Hazy sunsets watched while we sink our toes into golden sand next to a sea vista… we’re loving UK staycations this year. Whether Whitby or Whitley, or a trip to the sunny south, the UK seaside has plenty to offer.
The eye is initially drawn into the sumptuous bed, then across the lengthy wardrobes. The clean lines and thoughtful design means the fitted furniture doesn’t overpower the space but ignites it.
The effortless combination of our Seton White Ash fitted furniture, carefully balanced with ‘Dimity’ painted walls by Farrow & Ball creates a delicate calming effect throughout the bedroom. The furniture, lamps, and bedframe share a clean-lined aesthetic that’s tempered by sensuous materials (wood finish, velvet, wrought iron).

The timeless appeal of a shaker style door works perfectly with any trend, meaning this bedroom will keep reinventing itself year after year with simple tweaks to the soft furnishings.
The queen bed flanked by bedside drawers is oriented to have prime views of the windows. In the opposite corner, a free-standing chest of drawers gives an extra, exciting focal point to the room.
The clever choice of lighting promotes a restful and cosy ambiance. Putting light sources on a dimmer lets you control the brightness depending on the situation.
Sarah Slimm, the interior designer who styled this Seton White Ash bedroom explains;
“Classic style bedroom with rustic iron bed frame and opulent layers of velvet set off the beautiful finish of the Seaton White Ash.
“The use of rich burgundy cushions from Osborne and littles Limpopo range sit beautifully with the rustic green and brown velvets of the Harlequin Anthology collection. The indulgent velvets add a beautiful contrast to the embroidered curtains and cushions depicting a wildlife theme. The customers own heritage chairs adds a touch of vintage to the scene.
